Celebrate our 10th Birthday with us!

Dear Gotta Have Sole Friends & Family, 

Today we’re celebrating our organization’s 10 Year Birthday! It’s hard to believe it has already been 10 years, but when we look at all that we’ve accomplished, we are incredibly grateful for everyone’s support on this wonderful ride. 

We started Gotta Have Sole in an effort to open up opportunities for homeless children in Rhode Island.  After realizing the scope of youth homelessness across the country, we began focusing on supporting homeless children, nationwide. We’ve accomplished a lot along the way and our biggest milestone was reached in the summer of 2019, when we donated shoes to our 100,000th homeless child. We took some time to celebrate (join the celebration here) and to reflect, and we have big plans ahead!

While our mission has stayed the same, we have gone a step further, implementing an empowerment program with homeless children aimed to bolster their self-esteem. Our sneaker donations help these children get to school and our empowerment program helps them succeed while they are there, which we hope will help them step out of poverty. Throughout this 10th Year we’ll be celebrating our Young Leaders, Volunteers, and Supporters who helped us get here.
